Loved this property, very quaint, rustic, beautiful cottages throughout the property, breathtaking scenery, true paradise,so peaceful, along the famous river Kwai. Wish I could go back. Its hard to believe this place exists in the middle of nowhere and can only be accessed by small boat.truly amazing. Was there in Dec,2012
A very unique hotel with regard to location. Restful and surrounded by beautiful landscape. The river is within your grasp and the sounds of water and river life permeate your senses. Very private bungalows set a little apart from the main building and the restaurant serves beautiful delicious food. The staff of course are wonderful and the price is very reasonable. We arrived by river boat. The hotel picks you up from the parking lot; a highlight of the adventure.
A 100m from famous Lawa Cave and at River Khawe. I find this amazing place, as we come here at evening after check out from Hintok River Camp and visiting Lawa Cave. We rested at Resotel for night. This is a Jungle Resort that provide us a great Cottage. They have Villa room also but we stayed in Superior River View. Nice rooms at front of River. The Food buffet is fresh and good to taste. I like there food and salad bar. After finish our dine, They suggest to see “Mon Danced show” This show they have everyday. A very good dance and there traditional costumes. Next to them in morning we visit Mon Village. Truly natural style of living and there hand made handicrafts were so beautiful. Month of March was of great value to visit Thailand.
We were traveling independently with another couple and had a wonderful stay here. You board a “longtail” and are taken free of charge up river to the hotel landing stage. As always wonderful Thai service so you do not have to worry about carrying your luggage or loading it onto the boat. Lovely rooms in villa accommodation in the grounds. A good range of food available in the restaurant and we ate in every night of our 3 night stay without repeating our choices. Staff were friendly and helpful. For breakfast you could have freshly cooked omelette and fried eggs as well as pancakes and the usual continental breakfast choice. Lovely swimming pool area. A spectacular setting and one of the highlights of our holiday. Probably not for anyone with mobility problems though.
We landed in Bangkok and were taken straight to the Resotel. It was so amazing to get into the little boat for the 5min ride up the river. Incredible scenery, friendly staff. Tuk-tuk was great with her English and organising our various events & activities. As we say in Australia, do yourself a favour & book at least a 3day stay!
We had a wonderful moment since we took a boat to the resort. They picked us up on time and their service was good. Right after we got into our room, it was just what we expected. The room was good and clean. We had a chance to do a lot of activities there such as river jumping and swimming. But what we loved the most was when we went to see Mon’s cultural dance. That was a fantastic show. We have had the best experience at Resotel. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends!
